RE: Use of the Internet re Personal Finances via the Mvelope product                               Originated in August 2004

- - - - - BACKGROUND- - - - -

For a long time I have been convinced that Christian families should use the fundamental Envelope system as a Budget equivalent tool to carry out their Righteous Personal Finance convictions. Please examine the Web page links found in the list located at RPFin.  The Cash Only  Envelope approach --- as described when you click here --  has been a practical way to make use of this system.  Please click here   and view a Cash Only  tool.  Or people would take their Cash  upon receipt and place a pre-determined amount within applicable physical Envelopes.  There is a physical Envelope for various ways that you had decided to righteously spend this cash.  When there was no cash left within an Envelope, you had no more to spend in that area of your life.
As I point out when you read my editorial at 0917,  estimated consumer spending has been divided up as follows:

    --- Consumer Spending ---  Ratio:
Via Checks     51%
Via Credit/Debit Cards (Plastic)     25%
Via Green Stuff or Cash     17%
Other ways       7%
     Total    100%

Apparently our present society has used Checks and Credit Cards to do over 75% of their consumer buying. Such facts tremendously complicate the foregoing Cash Only Envelope system since no doubt Christian families are close to the above ratios.
